Students taking this course will
understand the travel industry and its many carreer opportunities;develop the
skills necessary to deliver professional travel assistantce and customer service
skills; and learn the automated reservations system, SABRE, a universal tool fer
the travel industry. the objetive of the program is to graduate trained travel
and tourism professionals who are knowledgeable in the areas of customer service
and SABRE, reservations, ticketing, geography, and sales. This program leads to
industry certification.
A+ Certification Academy
(Both Academies-A two year program-Grades 10-12)
Students will learn how to repair and troubleshoot personal
computers. A+ Certification is the computer industry recognized credential that
certifies the competency of PC Service Specialists. Certification provides a
wealth of benefit to any person seeking a job in the computer industry!Your
successfulcomputer carreer can start with thi one course, or it can serve as
proof of your computer hardware and operating system knowledge as a professional
already in your field.
Child Development
Midtown Academy-A four year
program)
This course exaines the theories of child development.
Childcare program regulations will be discussed and compared to the standards of
quality for chilcare programs. Students will be provided wiht a foundation of
child development and the corresponding strategies to enhance children's growth
and development.Students successfully completing this program will recieve their
child development Associate Certification (CDA).
Cisco Sistems Networking
Academy
(Both Academies-A two year program-Grades
10-12)
This program is designed to empower students with the
necesary education and training to successfully complete the requirements to
become a Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA). This is a four semester
course that teaches students the skills neededto design, build, and maintein
small to medium computer networks. Students are provided with the knowledge to
enter the workforce and/or further their education and training in the computer
networking field.
Computer Asisted Drafting
(Downtown Academy-A two year program-Grades
10-12)
This program will explode both machine and architectural
drawing problems. Students will master skills that include: sketching,
measuring, dimensioning, and problems on "one view","multiview", and
"architectural floor plan drawings", using CAD equipment and software. This
program is disigned to master the skills of architectural
design/drafting.
Criminal Justice/Public Safety
(Uptown Academy-A two year program-Grades
11-12
This program will provided training and experience for
possible future employment in the law enforcement fiel. This program
specifically prepares students for inmediate entry into the position of private
security guard or private investigator, and provides students with the
opportunity to gain valuable experience toward carreer in law enforcement and
public safety. Students will be prepared to excel in competitive employment
exams.
